Had a great bike ride. No one threw anything at me today..just the usual hollers and honking. Warmed up about 15min, then did some Mile intervals. Was supposed to do 5 but accidentally did 6. I'm really good at math.

I chose relatively flat miles:

Mile A: 43ascent 30decent 1st-2:45 4th-2:46

Mile B: 56ascent 7decent 2nd-2:50 5th-2:43

Mile C: 7ascent 62decent 3rd-2:28 6th-2:28

Not that it matters, I just didn't want to cheat anyhow by picking a 400decent mile repeat or something..haha. I think next time I will go harder on this workout..Totals: 22.17mi/1:09:53/19.03mph

Got some Core in as well 15min.

Was going to stretch, but there was a form I had to fill out for Ironman as part of the application that took 4 years to fill out..It had like 20 questions..Like Why do you want to do Ironman..What are your athletic accomplishements/background...I should have done a screen shot of it before I sent it off. Crazy! Was a freakin interview.

Good to see you getting that core in. :P Hey, you are blog-slacking again!

From missy on Thu, May 13, 2010 at 15:37:50 from 63.230.6.3

No weight and Measurements lol.

I'm totally slacking. And will slack for a few more days me thinks...getting ready for this trip and I am a massive space case nervous wreck!

I have to fill out another athlete bio for something else, that is more involved..I will tell you about it. But it's kind of hard to write when you are a nervous wreck! Wish me luck on writing!

BLOG SLACKER!

From missy on Wed, May 19, 2010 at 12:06:12 from 63.230.6.3

Haha Vinh..just one Full Iron, then a half the month before..which 100 miler are you doing? I'd like to do one at some point, but it's on the backburner while I'm focusing on the Ironman. ...I think a 100 miler is actually harder than an Ironman. The Iron probably takes more training, but, even with strong training, the 100miler would take me longer than the Iron to race. Plus, the 100miler beats your body much harder. The swim and bike are much nicer to the body than running...

Sammie...I love the blogging it's great fun..but Gee I run out of time! :P

Toby, I hope to write up my race report today, I have pictures too...it's just I'm not a great writer, and it overwhelms a bit, especially with the volume of thoughts I have to organize. :)

Scott...U are right! I have no comeback..haha.

Missy, I'm not sure which 100 miler yet. I'm focused on qualifying for Boston and hopefully running Boston next year. So maybe next Fall?

From missy on Sun, May 23, 2010 at 12:58:44 from 63.230.6.239

Vinh ~ I'm putting off a 50 or 100 for a while too...Maybe a 50 next summer. I'm pretty sure I will qualify for Boston again this year, but I don't know that I will be able to run it in 2011. It's too close to California Oceanside Half and Ironman St. George. I will ask my coaches about it. I've qualified for Boston twice and not ever gone! Oh well...haha.
