Was excited/nervous this a.m. Actually had adrenaline getting ready to go to my Coaches for a meeting. My adrenaline is over the top lately..haha. We talked about Races for 2 hours. This is going to be a wicked amazing year race wise. I will update later which races are in the works.

My next one of course is SGTRI Olympic Distance on May 15th. This will be my first open water swim...Will be practicing in the lake with Coaches athletes April 30th when we head down to watch Ironman St. George that weekend.

I took a short nap since I only had 5 hours sleep. Had a kick my glutes workout headed my way:

Drove out to West Mountain area, I needed miles of uninterrupted road.

Set 1: Reps: 6, Duration: 3min, Cadence: 95-105/-, RPE: 8, Intensity: 8, Notes: Rest 1:15 in between each, good efforts but not all out.

Set 2: Reps: 1, Duration: 15min, Cadence: 90-95/-, RPE: 5, Intensity: 5, Notes: Keep good cadence, but decrease intensity.

Set 3: Reps: 5, Distance: 3mi, Speed: 22-27/- mph, Cadence: 95-105/-, RPE: 9, Intensity: 9, Notes: Start by jumping up out of saddle for full power. Gauge these more by perceived exertion than HR. 1 mile active recovery.

38miles Bike

I'm feeling really hammered right now. Lol. I'm not quite at 22-27mph, Getting there. I did this workout maybe 6 weeks ago...Today I killed it, had much more power. Progress! :)

Solid workout Missy! Happy to see you kill that workout! One of these days I need to go watch a tri sometime. Interested to see how it all goes.

Nice workout Missy. Have you ever climbed up to the top of West Mountain? It's a great workout, and I think I will be doing it again soon. Maybe Sunday morning.

RE your races- I am excited for you. That St. George race will be really fun. I'm looking forward to your report.

I was thinking about you this a.m. Sammie. (Making coffee)...Me love coffeeeee. So it reminded me of the movie Kicking and Screaming with Will Farrell...I tried looking for a clip of him saying "Coffee is the lifeblood that fuels the dreams of champions"..Found a lot of other funny clips but not that one yet. I love how in the movie he is manic crazy over coffee.

Oh, and I was going to say Sam...Nice on the Delts. You have the body of a Goddess. I truly love strong women. We are rare. :)Ok, I'm sounding manic now...must be the coffee...lol.

Vinh..I might be partial but Tri's are so much fun to watch. :)(That workout kicked my butt, woke up feeling like a grannie.)

Scott...Never climbed West Mtn. I want to come!!! Maybe....haha. Might kill me and make me sore. I need my legs for a 40mile ride on Monday~Going to do South Fork repeats again...How far is the hike and how hard is it? Can I wear Chaco's doing it..I hate shoes. Don't you like how I am inviting myself..haha.

Missy- It would be really easy for you, but a good workout. It is just under two miles to the top, and is pretty steep. Your quads will be a little sore. I am now hiking/running Centerville Peak tomorrow with Twinkies, so I may not go Sunday, but I will be doing it (West mt) soon. Yes, you could wear your Chaco's. :)

Bah Scott! Now I have nothing to do on Sunday. :P Haha....Can always go long boarding with my lil Pumpkins.
